What is Orthotics?

Orthotics is a specialist branch of medicine which focuses on the mechanics of human movement and the prescription of external supports for the body. This includes foot orthotics, ankle braces, callipers, knee braces and back braces.
The most commonly prescribed Orthotic devices are foot orthotics. These are commonly known as insoles.
Foot Orthotics can be used by anyone who is in pain, not just active individuals.
We can make your feet feel better. Book an assessment today.

What to expect at your assessment
What makes our assessment for Orthotics in Cheshire different

The assessment begins by taking a detailed patient history to gain a real understanding of the problems you are having and factors that might be contributing to the issue.
We will then examine your feet and lower limbs and look at how your body moves in general. Following this we will analyse your walking using video gait analysis software. This allows us to see alignment issues and compensatory movements that are normally invisible to the naked eye.
Finally we will analyse the load and forces going through your feet using an advanced foot pressure plate system.

What Our Clients Say About Us

Patient LS

“The Orthotist at the clinic, Emma, was very welcoming and put me at ease. Following an examination Emma quickly identified the issue and recommended specially made insoles to offload the painful tendon along with daily exercises to improve my ankle mobility. The insoles took a while to get used to however after a few weeks I forgot I was wearing the insoles and my pain was completely gone.”

Patient RR

“I came to see Emma as I've been struggling with plantar fasciitis in my feet. Following a full assessment I had molds taken and custom orthotics made for me. After wearing the custom orthotics for a few weeks my pain was completely gone! Emma is clearly an expert in her field. I would recommend her services for anyone suffering with foot pain.”

Patient GR

“Many thanks for coming to see me at my home. The brace you fitted to prevent my drop foot works very well. Now that I’ve gotten used to it I feel much safer when I am walking as my foot doesn’t drag.”

Patient CH

“Emma made me the most amazing set of insoles which have made such a huge difference to my life! Being such an active individual running, shooting, riding and walking, I needed help with a weak foot! Emma is professional and knowledgeable and I would recommend her if you have been putting it off! It will change your life!”

Whether you are struggling with pain, having issues with mobility or training for a sporting event we will endeavour to find the best treatment to meet your individual needs and expectations.
